In a bowl, add warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir and rest for 10 minutes to get a foamy yeast and set aside.
For Dough:
In a large bowl, add all purpose flour, garlic powder, salt, and oregano and using a spoon dry mix everything.
Now, add melted butter and yeast mixture. Knead well for about 8-10 minutes to form a smooth and elastic dough. Spread some olive oil on the dough.
Cover and rest the dough for about 2 hours. Allow it to rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Once again knead the well rised dough for a few minutes. Dust some flour on the rolling board surface and using a rolling pin, roll the dough to a rectangle shape.
Using a knife or a pizza cutter, slice the flattened dough into strips that are around 8-10 inches long and 1 inch wide.
Place each stick ½ inch apart on a greased parchment paper. Cover and rest for 30 minutes for the second rise of the dough.
For Brushing:
Meanwhile, add melted butter, parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese powder in a small bowl and mix well.
Brush each stick with the butter mixture. Preheat the oven to 400ºF and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove breadsticks from the oven and brush butter mixture for the second time.
Soft, fluffy, and delicious hot garlic breadsticks are ready.
